Description organisation:

Baltic Business School, offers six degree-programmes within the fields of Business Economics, Marketing, Business in the Baltic Sea Region, Tourism Studies, Music management and Systems analysis. In addition, we offer Master programmes in Management and Marketing. All students have a host company with which they have continuous co-operation in terms of 'real life' cases. The students are in different ways prepared to act on an international market and the aim is that the majority will have spent at least one term abroad. This international business school have trade, business and tourism in the Baltic Sea Region as a main focus.

A number of courses are given in English. The Masters programme in international management is given totally in English and has more than 50% foreign students.

Students facilities and other practical information

Computers: All students have access to computer facilities. There are several computer rooms at the University, which can be used 24 hours a day.

ECTS: The department uses the ECTS system fully and produces an annual ECTS-guide.

The students have an excellent sports hall and discounts at several sports clubs.

Fees: Fees payable: No educational fee, except cost for literature. Student union fee 135-235 SEK/term.
Insurance: Not compulsory but recommended
Term dates:

Autumn semester from 21 August to 17 January, spring semester from 18 January to 9 of June.

Students's accomodation

The University offers exchange students a furnished room in student residence. Average fee: 2000-2300 SEK/month.

Research interests

Research is carried out within several subject areas. A research programme under the motto 'Fair management and sustainable economies' will support the educational activities at Baltic Business School. RoUTES (Research Unit: Tourism and Experiences in Society)is the name of the research unit in tourism.
