Description:

Many courses are offered in the scope of management, planning, languages, mathematics and computer science. The courses most related to tourism are: Introduction to Tourism, Sociology of Tourism, Transport and Accommodation, Structure and Legislation of Tourism, Tourism and Development I and II, Recreation and Leisure Management, International Tourism, New Product Development in Tourism and Hotel Management.

The payment of fees depends on whether or not there is a bilateral agreement between the University of Aveiro and the Institution where the student comes from.

All registered students will be covered by personal accident insurance for on-Campus activities. EU nationals in possession of the E128 health certificate can obtain health care through the public health service in Portugal.

Term dates:

The academic year is divided into two semesters, each followed by an assessment period. The first semester usually begins in the first week of October and the second semester begins in late February.

International students can make their application for accommodation to the Social Services via the International Office. At the university owned residences on (and off) Campus (Undergraduate Residences) the cost of rooms per month (per person) range from 17000 PTE (room for three) to 19000 PTE (room for one) (1 Euro = 200.482 PTE). At the private sector student housing in town (student apartments or lodgings with a family): estimated costs per month range from 25000 PTE (single room with a Portuguese family or in a furnished student flat) to 70000 PTE (fully furnished two-bedroom apartment).
