Research at ETOUR is mainly, but not exclusively, within these focus areas: Nature-based tourism, digital destinations/information technology and tourism, events, working life in tourism, pop culture tourism, sustainability, destination development. We have research funding from both the University, Swedish funding agencies, EU, Swedish national and regional authorities, and through different public/private partnerships. We also communicate our research in several different ways to the society in general such as through seminars, conferences, popular science publications, websites and social media.
