Objectives

Apart from aiming to foster interactions among the PhD community in the field, the main objective of the colloquium is to create a discussion environment where the PhD researchers in the early, intermediate or advanced stages of their research may benefit from the experience of the senior academicians, practitioners and other students in the field.

Students will discuss their work with their fellow students and with track/workshop colloquium faculty, who are renowned experts in the field. In addition there will be faculty presentations designed to help students plan and manage their dissertation process.

Doctoral students in different stages of their dissertation process can apply for participation in the doctoral colloquium. The doctoral colloquium will be held in a collaborative, open and friendly atmosphere. In respect to this philosophy, participants are required to attend the entire colloquium. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

On this form, students should also indicate whether they apply for the intermediate/advanced or for the beginners' track based on the stage of their dissertation process.

Doctoral students at all stages could benefit from participation.

Poster preparation guidelines

You will be provided a 4 feet high and 8 feet wide bulletin board. We recommend that you use approximately 4 feet X 6 feet of space for your display. There is no requirement that you fill the board. There is also no requirement that you print a "real" poster - printed PowerPoint slides are perfectly acceptable. Your poster should cover the main points of your work and be as self-explanatory as possible. You can set up your posters at any time before 02:30PM on Tuesday 2nd November. The posters will be displayed throughout the conference at the main concourse of Amathus Beach Hotel Conference Canter. Doctoral students in this way will have the opportunity to discuss their research with conference participants.
